STX instrument cluster Ford exchange program

Anyone else with a 2020 stx get the letter in the mail to have the 2.5" cluster exchanged for the 4" cluster?

I went ahead and went with the new cluster instead of the $200 from Ford.
The fun part, my truck has had the new cluster installed for almost 8 business days, but Ford didn't follow through on updating the vehicle profile in their system, so the dealer techs can't program the updated cluster to fully work with the truck.

Anyone else run into this problem? I can't really blame the dealer, they are kind of at the mercy of Ford. Wondering if myself as the vehicle owner could somehow contact someone at ford to try and get them to follow through on their part of the cluster swap.

Sounds suspect to me. Shouldn't need to do anything but update the hardware in the truck.

There was a thread about this a while back. Was legit, no scam, but I don’t remember all the details.

Seems like there is something about VIN numbers and odometer miles and some other stuff that has to be done. But the dealer and Ford should have that ability in place before rolling out this program.

I talked with the tech yesterday and he basically told me he's waiting on ford to update my vin # in the ford database with the correct cluster info before he can run all the module updates.

For some reason ford is dragging their feet on the whole process. Really just wondering if as an owner ,there is someone i could call to see if the issue can't get looked at from the service / customer satisfaction side.

Definitely not a knock on my local dealer they've been awesome since i bought the truck.

If you've ever called Ford customer service, you'd understand why. 9 out of 10 customer service reps ride the short bus to work.
