Installing Factory Headlights

A previous owner installed aftermarket led headlights on my 2015 F250. What would I need to do to change back to the factory halogen setup?

Without knowing what & how they fitted them, this is your best option...

if just changed to LED bulbs may just need new halogen bulbs, if aftermarket light housings get new OEM halogen housings, still should bolt in and plug in fine

Stock housings. You should be able to change out the bulbs with Halogens without an issue. Many kits on the market are plug and play. On my 2016 F350, I purchased an LED PnP bulbs. They were able to be clocked correctly. Then I also adjusted the housings correctly. The set was half the cost with an easier install from an HID set i purchased for my previous 2011 F250. The big thing with Halogens is not to tough the bulbs during install. Use some Dielectric grease on the connectors. I have seen some moisture issues over the years on several different vehicles.

Personally, I tend to like LEDs over Halogens. I seem to get better viewing and distances on dark roads at night. Never really get flashed going down the road. Halogens in the truck just don't seem to do it for me. In both Super Dutys I have owned.

Here’s pictures

what’s currently installed. I put the factory headlights back in with new halogen bulbs and they would not illuminate.

Just out of curiosity why going back to oem.. Those are Spyder headlights, I run them and they are so much better than oem for throwing light. Have a nice projector with a solid cut off, and I run halogens, never thought I needed leds with these lenses.

With these lights adjusted all the way up they only shine 50 feet in front of the vehicle. I have to run my foglights to see road signs more than 50 ft out. Very dangerous at highway speed.

My guess is that it may be a poor design in the light housing themselves. I had a similar issue with the Spec D units where the projector could not be adjusted high enough. The problem was that the back of the bulb was binding on the inner side of the dust caps. Had the dust caps been deeper, they would've cleared no problem. Spec D's solution was to just leave the caps off. The issue then was living in the Seattle area (rain, rain, go away) I was worried about moisture and condensation in the housing. Ultimately I sent them back due to inferior design. Very frustrating as they were cool looking lights but I needed function as well as form.

Here's the video I sent to Spec D showing the issue:
