adjustable track bar

I posted this over on superduty a while ago but didn't get any response guess it does make more sense to put it here. I want to lift the front of my 99 f350 to level the truck off but I keep reading about guys just winching the frontend over till the track bar lines up and don't like that. Its gotta wear the heck out of the front end bushings and not cycle freely. Anyways I was just going to make the track bar adjustable which is no big deal but was wondering what other guys had done. Thanks for any info. Eckart

I read your post in the SD forum also. I don't know of anyone here that's made their own adjustable track bar for a SD. I think that's probably why no one replied. I do think it's a good idea if you're not going to use a drop bracket. Let us in the SD forum know how it turns out. Maybe others will try it.

The adjustable track bar is a necessity if you want your axle to be centered.

You could also determine the proper length of the track bar and just redrill the axle end mount.

Clutch just started to slip so I guess the lift/track bar will have to wait.
