I bought my spare tire rim from a salvage yard. The wheel came from a '73 f100 1/2 ton.
I had a tire mounted on it but I'm needing to know what the width is to see how wide a tire it can accommodate.
I can't measure the wheel 'cause it has a tire on it. So, my question what is the wheel width for our stock 2wd f100?
I have a "extra" P235 70R/15 tire. Wide white wall after my truck was side swiped and insurance replaced the tire. I was able to clean it up
and maybe I'll use it as a spare. The truck has 8" wide wheels on the ground but the spare is thinner, but how thin I do not know.
The stock 15” wheel in 1973 was 15” x 5 1/2” having “outie” hub cap nubs. K-H 73815 / NWRA cross code X-40226. Your 8” rims are probably K-H 89943 / X-45198. Stu
