Any one know how to completely delete the numerous Visitor Messages I've received? There is a "soft delete" option but I'd rather free up any bandwidth or storage they're using---would like them totally removed.
- Select desired message(s)
- Under Moderation, select [Delete Messages]
- Click [Go]
I Senior Mod at another Internet Brands forum and it's the same there.
I've tried that but its only a "soft delete" where just the message content is removed, the vestiges remain. My goal is completely clearing the folder of any and all conetent.
Might have been something temporary where I saw them completely gone---they're back now to be sure.
This isn't a big deal but would just like to have a way to permanently erase them either individually or all at one time. I'll be interested seeing what the Mod group has to say.
Don't mean to be a buttinsky but this is probably an item tailored to an admin. They have the software backend menu available where a moderator may not, I've owned and run a few forums over the years and that's what I remember about these type of things and for what ever it's worth, none of your visitor messages are missing. I can see all the text they left, not just the fact someone posted.

Thanks for the ideas RLXXI---might indeed be something to what you're saying.
Yeah the messages are not gone as I hoped to achieve, I just don't see the use in them remaining visible after years since they'd been posted.
