Hi,
I put a 3 inch body lift on my Big Bronco. I just got a 6 inch suspension lift and will install this weekend. I have 35s right now (YES 35s under a 3inch body lift NO CUTTING FENDERS OR OTHER MODIFICATIONS). DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT I SHOULD CHANGE THE GEARS TO? I got my printout from Ford so, I know what I have now - 3.55 rear axle ration- And I know my gear ratios now. When I go to buy new gear what size should it be?
Thanks in advance.
I'm not positive on this, but when I was researching the same question I came up with 4.56. Supposedly this would keep the drivetrain running the same as if it were stock again. Help me out guys, I might be wrong on this one! I don't have the formulas for this.
I would go with at least a 4.56 gear ratio, or maybe even 4.88s It really has to do with the way you use the vehicle, and the mods you have done to it.
Now, WHAT SIZE DO I NEED? I SEE THERE ARE 8.8, 9. MY BRONCO IS 1990 EDDIE BAUER EDDITION. IT IS 4X4 WITH AN E4OD TRANNY. SO, HOW DO I FIND OUT WHICH TO GET?
