Does TPMS Reset also Clear Trailer TPMS if equipped?

Recent tire rotation on my 2021. Dealer did not reset TPMS so now the truck thinks the front wheels are the rear and vice/versa as far as the dash tire pressure display. I read the factory reset procedure in the owner's manual (now wonder the dealer doesn't do it, it's a PITA).

I have the factory Trailer backup camera and TPMS that I use w/ my trailer.

If I reset the TPMS on the truck will it delete the trailer TPMS sensors such that I also have to go hookup my trailer and do the reset procedure on the trailer too so it will read tire pressures again?

This is a huge PITA too bad Ford doesn't have an easy procedure w/ an OBD2 scanner to just swap the front/rear sensors...or do they??

Thanks in advance guys.

On my 2020, the dealer told me the system will reset on it's own are driving a few miles. I have had the tires rotated several times now and so far that seem to be the case. After the first couple of rotations I stopped looking before leaving the service center. The Service writer said the system some how detects the tires location, but he could not explain how. My guess is that it has something to do with signal strength, but that's just a guess.

Good to know....it's been 3 days and it's still backwards. I'll give it another week no rush for me until I am towing again the week after. Thank you.

Yes, Mine reset within a few miles also. If your has been days and you have put miles on, then there may be a issue.

After a recent oil change amd tite rotation at the dealer my sensors did not reset to the correct location. I had to do them myself. In doing so, it did not reset the TPMS sesnors I have in my travel trailer.

Any tire shop should be able to reset the truck's TPMS sensors. The procedure they use is not the procedure that the average owner has to go through. I have a TPMS tool and it takes me about two minutes to reset the TPMS on my other cars. I haven't had to use it on my F-350 because, like the other posts in the thread, mine resets on its own after a couple miles of driving.

Mine resets automatically as well. However, if you want to do it without letting air out of the tire this is a cheap tool that works:
