Tranny too full???

Tranny too full???
Help! Just had the tranny (4R100) serviced. (1999 E350 V10). Total fluid change to Mobil1. I checked the level the next day and found it to be too full. The dipstick shows fluid all the way up the white plastic reading area and maybe a quarter inch up the wire. I went back to the trans shop. They said not to worry, that all was o.k. I'm not so sure. The owner's manual says to not overfill due to possible damage. Any experts out there? What do you think?
