Fuel Pump Noise
I’ve had my truck for five months now and the tank selector valve has been stuck on the front tank so that’s the only I’ve used until today. I got the valve replaced and now I can use both tanks with no problems so far. But I’m noticing that when I switch to the rear tank the pump on the frame makes double the noise it makes when it’s set to the front tank. Is that normal or have I now uncovered another problem?

Looks like I replaced the valve prematurely. Today it stalled a couple times while set to the rear tank and the whole time it was set to the rear the pump on the frame was twice as loud as normal. After driving for the day the gauge still read full so I thought I’ve got that issue too. By chance I switched to the front tank which was also just filled and it reads 3/4 of a tank. So now I suspect the rear pump isn’t working leaving the in line pump to work twice as hard and pull from the front tank. Any thoughts?
