P0603 is " Internal Ctrl Mod KAM Error" I get that one after reprograming my computer, it dosen't seem to mean anything in my case. The check engine light comes on during a reprogram, I erase it after programing and the truck runs fine.
P1211 is "IPC not controlable- Pres Above/Desired" Something to do with A/F metering, just what this means is a good question.
I've programmed and reprogrammed my PSD with the microtuner, and tonight was the first time I ever got the P0603 code, or any other for that matter. I hope Larry is right, but I'm wondering why it has come up.
Beaboarder,
I just went through about 30 websites, and I finally came to one that may help. I know it's been a few month's since you posted this, but figured if you didn't have the info, here it is.
P0603 -Powertrain Control Module KAM Test Error
Indicates the PCM has experienced an internal memory fault. However there are external items that can cause this DTC.
-Reprogramming
-Battery terminal corrosion
-KAPWR to PCM interrupt/open
-Loose battery connection
-Damaged PCM
If KAPWR is interrupted to the PCM because of a battery or PCM
disconnect, DTC can be generated on the first power-up.
Using a chip or aftermarket programmer also sets code P0603! It also makes diagnosing other problems very difficult. Due to the other codes being erased and all that is in there is P0603!
