Alternative Rear Flap ?

Has anyone found another rear flap to replace the factory one ? I want a hard plastic rear flap but the stock one looks like some old man JC Whittney thing sticking out 2" too far.

I have oversize 20" tires and it still looks stupid.

Not sure if it’s what you’re after, but I put some Weathertech’s on mine and I like them pretty good. It’s a hard, shaped flap.

Rear mudflaps.

Rear flap?
You mean mud flaps?
The Ford accessory mud flaps sure don't stick out 2 inches, so not sure what you are talking about.

I have the factory mud flaps on mine and I like them. They have some give to them and they are high enough that I won’t have to worry too much about tearing them off in the woods hunting.

I used Meguiars Tire Shine on the wheels after I wash the truck. I don't intend on it to be on the rim itself, but the spray usually gets on the rim too...

Flaps stop rocks, water, dead squirrels and mud. maybe I've been around real trucks too long they're just flaps.

Anyway with the factory wheel well trim it makes them stick out that much farther. they look stupid there's no way around it. at least an inch too much , my 2015 didn't look like this it's a '17 up thing.

The weathertechs would probably work, I was hoping for something a little more similar to the factory look but that might not be an option.

Maybe you have come across " Duraflap" those mud flaps are pretty good and plenty of choice to chose from. https://duraflap.com/truck-model/ford/
I have them on my 2016 dually and holding up nicely and ordered them just a little longer for better road debris/ mud protection.

I didn't put them on my 2021 just because I was ordering a bunch of stuff from Husky and it made it easier for one stop shopping/ delivery.

I see what you are saying, I never noticed that. Now I will. I would think any flap that is made for use with the factory flares would stick out past the tire like the OEM does.

I put the Weather Techs on mine. I describe them as "comically large" - but - my running boards and the side of my truck are much cleaner. And they survived the car wash.
