2014 e250 5.4 interior ground point?
I am running a single starter battery if that makes a difference on locations. I am just about to wire up everything I bought this weekend but someone said I want to run my ground all the way to my starter battery from my house setup. I always assumed I could just use a chassis ground somewhere inside the van like on a seat bolt. From some more reading I gather that there are some actual ground points setup that I should use instead of just the seat bolt. I looked over the electrical diagram and it has a lot of diagrams showing different grounds, but I don't understand how to physically find the grounds it is referencing? it just says stuff like g203 and when I look at the back of the book I find no reference of this number.
So that said I was gonna have my house battery and all charging stuff right behind the driver seat. Can someone let me know where I can find a ground point near there that is safe to use? or do I really have to run a ground back to the starter battery it self?
Thanks
Thanks!
Both ground to the body well
If you install a longer bolt you can add a additional ground cable to your longer bolt from the engine block bell housing area
The copper terminal is the one I added. Resistance from end of the cable I attached to negative battery connector is .3 ( not connected to battery so zero load ).
