Fuel pump electrical problem
Hello, I have an 89 f250hd, 7.5, 5 speed, it's been sitting since 2009. I have replaced front tank, intank and inline pump. I had the truck running once. I went to start it from taking a break from working on it and now all the pumps do is click. Pumps are brand new not even a year old. I tried running a jumper wire from the battery to the positive terminal on the inline pump, it only clicked once. No fuel is being pushed. What would cause them to just click? Could it be a ground issue? Could both pumps have gone bad? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Run another jumper wire from the battery negative terminal to the inline pump's negative terminal then apply power. If you have plenty of current available on the supply side and nothing happens you need to verify the path to ground.
