Today I took a 100 mile trip. I stop at the store on the way home go in and comce out to find that my truck wont crank. I figured it was the battery. I called AAA and the tow truck was there in no time. He jumped the truck and in would n't turn over then he fiddled with the cellunoid and it fired up....
THEN I get in the truck and accidentialy hit the brake with my foot. My engine revved?!?!?!? and I noticed that my ABS light is on. Profanity Removed???
The man was like WOAH Do that again? I pressed the break and it was as if I floored the accelerator!
My Brake pedal now makes my engine revv like I am flooring the accelerator!
It makes no sence to me. I can't even drive the damn truck now because my brakes and accelerator now serve the same function.
Anyone know what this might be? Help! Please Help?
Cruise Control- Valve at pedal releases vacuum when pressed.
This might give you a clue as to the rpm change when brake is pressed. I suspect a problem with your cruise control equiptment.
Good luck.

Oddly enough my cruise control stopped working that day. Mabye your on to something there. I also replaced the Solunoid today and engine still wont crank. *Sigh*
There is a common problem with the cable that runs from the selenoid on the wheel well down to the starter. Check this cable out and replace if necessary. I had the same problem with the no start on my 92, and it ended up being that cable. The cable is supposed to have .05 ohm resistence, mine had a 300 ohm resistence... so pretty obvious what the problem was. It sould also be a bad terminal on the battery. I had to have both the positive and negative replaced twice. Keep us up to date on what you find.
