2022 F250 Alignment Specs

I'm taking my 2022 F250 Platinum in to the dealer next week to have new Bilstein shocks and steering stabilizer installed. While there, I'm going to have them check the alignment. Based on previous posts, I want them to check toe and caster readings because the steering does not return to center after a turn. It would be appreciated if someone could provide the "official" Ford specifications for alignment on my 2022 F250 to have ahead of time. Thanks!

not factory specs, but my understanding is that you want slight toe-in (too much will scrub your tires), 0 camber, and maximum positive caster to prevent death wobble. Many guys go above ford spec on caster.

Thanks. That will be my strategy, but I would like to see the factory specs to insure the dealer is looking at the correct numbers. I trust them.....but then I don't....

You should make sure they are willing to adjust your caster out and that they have the parts on hand to do it, they have to change the caster bushings and may not stock them.

Thanks for this information! I assume the 2022 model will be the same.

The upgraded steering stabilizer stops the death wobble.

False. If you have death wobble, it means you have poor alignment and/or loose steering components. If those things are good, you can drive without a stabilizer and not get DW. The stabilizer masks the issue and is a cheap bandaid which is why it’s the component that the dealer will replace.

It seems backwards that the "heavy duty suspension " caster range is smaller than the "regular suspension " caster range... thinking that the heavy service front springs and snow plow front springs increase ride height. Can anyone educate me better on what I am missing with that ?

Sorry guy but you are all wet. I had the death wobble in my 2019 and the upgraded stabilizer installed at no charge stopped it. And I do NOT have any alignment issues as I only rotate the tires every 17,000 miles and they are wearing extremely well with 47,000 miles on them and at least 30,000 left in them.

From what I am reading, the stabilizer dampens the thing. Kinda like a shock absorber. Does that mean it isn't there? I don't think so. My tires seem to be wearing well but on a rack, we are seeing that some components are worn. The new stabilizer has stopped it. Actually, I still think it has hidden it well.

Not saying you have alignment issues, but since you had DW, you have at least one ball joint (or track bar bushing) that is loose and should be replaced. Since all the dealer did was replace the stabilizer with another one of the same poor quality - you will be back when it gets weak.

Just a quick update. Dealer got new Bilstein shocks (F/R) installed along with the Bilstein steering stabilizer. Truck only has 1000 miles but everything I've heard says I should see general improvement over the stock shocks. My steering does not return to center when turning a corner so I asked them to set the caster to 4.2 degrees (left) and 4.5 degrees (right). They ordered the shims which get there tomorrow. That should also provide a big improvement. Finally, they completed the trailer controller recall/re-program. I should get the truck back tomorrow and will see how it feels.

Sounds like you have a good dealer there. I'll be interested to see how the caster correction works for you.

Is it because you are paying out of pocket that they are willing to set your caster out of spec? I say out of spec just based on the info posted earlier in the thread.

Caster is 2.3L and 2.6R plus or minus 1.3 so it is within spec just at the outer end. I am not sure what defines Heavy Duty. Anyone?
