Smile Good afternoon all.

I have a 1944 Ford G8T fire truck. yes it is a military fire truck and as such it has a shocking 11,989 miles on the clock. It was repainted, very poorly, from OD green to red. But, as a fire truck it will stay red. It is all original and in great shape other than the rubber around the windshield which I will be changing this spring. I had new seat covers made from Mil-Spec canvas as the original covers had cracked and split. Parades and shows here we come.

That is a gorgeous truck! Welcome to the forums. The members have been a HUGE help to me over the years and generally we are pretty good about sharing knowledge and experiences. Hope you have plenty of fun experiences with your ride.

You might want to ask the folks over in the "1947 and Older Ford Trucks" forum. They'd have some experience with this.
