They are. I have seen pics of the unpainted bed that have the holes punched as well as the opening for the 7 pin on the side. Thats what surprises me that they are not installed on the line.

So here’s the next question , I’ve deleted it from ford order, do I buy the kit so I have it when the truck arrives as there is a 10 or 15 % off currently or wait until I actually get the truck ?

I believe the prep kit is actually installed on the line, prior to the bed being dropped onto the frame. The holes are not drilled after paint and assembly of the truck. GFX doesn't even remove tie downs before spraying the bed liner, I highly doubt they are removing beds, drilling holes and mounting the prep kits etc.

Seeing that other Lariats with 5th wheel prep kit, ordered AFTER my 12/7/21 order, are getting scheduled and built before mine is even scheduled, makes me believe Ford is lost and confused.

Prep includes more than just the puck setup
Fifth wheel prep also includes in bed 7 pin connector AND 12 pin if you also order Ultimate Tow package (360 cameras and reverse guidance). The later is an expensive option to piece together afterwards.
