The way it is looking my new 350 7.3 will be arriving within the nest few weeks. With that said we have to pick up our fifth wheel. The person we purchased it from is moving and needs us to get it as soon as we can. If I have to go get it before the 1000 mile break in period. what is the possible ramification of doing so.It is 10,000 LBS. Any opinions or input would be helpful. It's only about 50 miles away
Fleet trucks get loaded down and hitched up day one, then they are run hard for hundreds of thousands of miles. Don't overthink it, drive like you normally would, the truck will be fine.

x2, you're overthinking it. You bought a truck to do truck stuff
I have had several 250/2500 or 350/3500 series trucks. Everfy one of them went to work on day one. Except for one………guess which one had rear gear issues and rear diff had to be rebuilt under warranty.
Same - go get it. I had about 500 on the F-350 DRW 7.3 and just did a 290 mile run with 14K on the tail. No problems. If there was a big race I was scheduled to run when the truck arrived, it'd be hooked up on duty as soon as it hit the driveway.

Possible ramifications are that the owner will worry that the truck will explode when he tries to tow heavy.
