Hitch Pin Question
My truck did not come with any hitch pins, and being that it has a 3" receiver none of my existing pins were long enough. I found a "Grade 5" hitch pin at Tractor Supply (https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/pr...ble-pin-length) that seems like it will do the job just fine, but I can't find any reliable information on what the "grade 5" actually means and what the shear strength is. I would like to think that being designed for use on a tractor it would work just fine as a trailer hitch pin but don't want to find out the hard way when the trailer is hooked up that the pin was not adequate for the job.

May or may not be good enough. Tractor pins are not made for highway trailer pulling so I personally would not do it. Order a pin from e-trailer or go to you local truck supply/ trailer shop and get one built for a truck hitch.
