I got serious in the last while looking for a new steering wheel for the 47 Mercury. The first shows some of the ;impossible to find items, horn buttons. I think the one on the left is from a 46. I took this shot on the side of the road and the guy had the window open. I am proud to say I am an honest person but temptation was pushing that day. The right must be a car one. I have seen other black ones & chrome. The second shot is mine with all the cracks etc. The third is one from flea bay. It can be found by searching this "NEW 1940 Ford / 40-47 Pickup stock steering wheel 01A-3600-D" I assume all the mounting is probably the same on these old vehicles because the co's had not figured out that every custom nut and bolt can be worth something yet.
Mine is that same except the chromed ring pcs. The mission impossible part will be finding a horn button. If anyone reading this has an original they could take pictures of it would be a big help. Those reproduction wheels are 16" and are for aftermarket steering columns, possibly.
