Oddly enough, I didn't get that email. I ordered back in September, got scheduled on Jan 27 for March 7 and am currently scheduled for April 25. I haven't heard from Ford in a few weeks, which I thought was a good thing. But now, I'm wondering why I got left out. Sniff. Sniff. LOL. Is it good or bad?
My official status on the Ford tracker is "Order Confirmed" but I have a VIN.
Ordered on September 3rd 2021. I received my vin# and build date on 2/1/22. build date of 3/14/22. that has since changed 4 times. Now showing week of 5/2/22 . Fingers crossed.

No. The email from Ford has just let me know that my build date has changed. I'm assuming because of component shortages? From what I understand, the Kentucky plant has been running minimal production the last couple weeks.
Well, the tracker still shows my truck as in production on 3/16 but when I click the window sticker, which I've had since 2/28, it says it hasn't been released yet.
I did not get the email. Ordered F350 7.3 CCSB Platinum FX4 SRW on 2/25 and confirmation email same day. Left off the spray in, steering and 5th wheel.
I have heard nothing since. Not sure if that is good news or bad. Anyone else not not already scheduled that didn’t get the delay email?
I am curious about something. On these threads you tend to see more people with complaints. That's normal, unhappy people are far more vocal. So I'm not dismissing the complaints.
That said, I wonder what percentage of total retail orders are really delayed by large margins. I do see people on here getting trucks delivered in normal times. When I ordered,my dealer said their retail orders typically come in about 3 months from order.
While I think these threads probably represent a reasonable representative sample, I'm curious how far behind production really is, compared to what we see here.
Again,I'm not dismissing or trivializing anyone's personal experience. I'm just genuinely curious if the vocal participants in forums like this represent the norm, or if they represent a more vocal and dissatisfied minority.
While I am currently waiting on my first ever custom order, delivery within 16 weeks seems like a reasonable expectation for a product like this. So I probably won't be nervous until the 5 or 6 month mark.
There is a spreadsheet on this forum where people put in the order date and info on the order. There are a lot of people waiting. Not just a vocal few. My dealer told me Ford told them they are not taking any new orders for stock for two months to get the current orders scheduled. You question is valid.

Thoughts?
My thoughts also. I knew going in that I was going to expect 6 months. I wonder if the computer system tracks supplies coming in, and searches orders. If it finds one that they have everything for, it schedules it. There are so many variables on options, one little thing could kick it back. Over the last 2 years, you have to roll with the flow, or drive yourself crazy. Not trying to minimize the frustration factor of ones not getting built by any means, I feel your pain, trying to get supplies for my business is shall we put it nicely, troublesome. Luckily, we built our house right before the sh&t storm hit so we had everything, our neighbors not so much.....
No update email here. I've seen a few folks who ordered after me already get scheduled but I'm guessing their builds are XL's and XLT's. I'm in no rush and hoping for sept/oct delivery. Not compromising on options. These rigs cost too much to not get what I want.
