If it works it would be a reasonable price to pay for a longer lasting MAP sensor.

A bit different... but I am waiting til time to replace my air filter and will likely just swap my whole CAI over to the S&B CAI.

I'm skeptical on the spacer for the price. How often are folks cleaning the MAP sensor? I replaced mine around 105,000 for $74.77 out the door from the dealer, although I can certainly assume the original was full of soot long before. More speculation but maybe long term bad data from the MAP sensor was another contributing factor for the list of causes for my average 170 mile active regenerations at the time. I'll never know because the data doesn't exist but that could mean more regular (very careful) cleaning could help.

Although it did also cost a small 9mm socket. I dropped it into the valley of the engine never to be found again. It's either still there or eventually fell out on the highway.

Cleaned MAP sensor/intake on my truck when I had to take it off to replace a leaky turbo coolant fitting..when I put it back together truck was running like crap, boost gauge would peg, and the MIL came on..sure enough bad map sensor code..replaced the sensor and it was fine again.

Have you ever removed your map sensor to inspect it? I did on mine just out of curiosity a few years ago and it looked clean and is still the original sensor on my truck.

Thanks for posting that... I still plan on removing mine to look at it and see how bad it is. I have MAF cleaner at home. I'll post up when I do.

Removed it. Was super dirty at 10k miles. Took a pic but it was too fuzzy to post.

cleaned it up and installed the spacer.

reassembled and it’s a wrap.

started up with no strange noises or smells.

becarful. What you clean it with…I heard horror stories of folks using solvent or starter spray.
