Picked up the new truck after waiting forever and noticed the headliner around where the aux switches are didn't look right like it was trimmed too far back.. then the other day saw that the plastic shroud on the steering column wasn't snapped together and I tried for a bit to click it in but didn't want to mess with it too much.
Service manager took a look and I have a appointment Tuesday to see what their going to do.
That’s unacceptable. Hopefully it will get taken care of to your satisfaction. Unfortunately, things like this are becoming more common. I’ve bought many new vehicles over the years and always seem to find something wrong. Just bought a new boat last year that had cosmetic issues. I’m very picky, but consumers need to hold the manufactures accountable for their shoddy work. I will be looking the new F250 over VERY carefully.
Thank you, I completely agree! It terrifies me what could be wrong in the places I can't see easily. I'm about to do my first oil change at 1k miles and going to check the diffs and transmission fluid levels as well, I heard the earlier builds were coming in low. I was hopeful being built in feburary I would have a great build. Time will tell..
I got this for a back seat in my Platinum the other day... SMH. But after having waited for "only" 6 months, I took it, and am awaiting a fix
This picture made me laugh out loud. Not because I don’t feel sorry for you. It sucks you have to deal with the hassle. But it’s astounding that seat made it past any form of basic quality control. It looks like it’s 40 years old and been sat in for a million miles. Pitiful, but at this point I just hope they make it right for you.
Same thing on my Platinum.. But Worse...All The Curved Area's On The Seat..Back and Bottom Are Completely Wrinkled..Went to pick it up on Sat. and Refused The Truck...Told Them That It Was Un-Acceptable..And they All Agreed..(Salesman, Sales Mgr.& Service Mgr)....Front and Back Seat's Look like *****..Waiting To Hear A Solution..
They Are Getting Back To Me Today..

Why is the first letter of almost every word in your post capitalized?
>I hate we live in a time where workers look at that in the factory and think something like "good enough" "not my problem"
I spent 20 years in mfg. In a smaller mfg facility, the spirit of management and QA can help keep the focus on quality and help insure decent product output. In a huge place like a Ford plant, that has to be a serious challenge for not only management but line supers also. But yes - there's acceptable and there's not, and when you're paying big dollars you want it right when it comes out of the wrapper. If you're a customer, you should expect nothing less. If you're a supplier, you should want to deliver nothing less. Done right builds confidence and generates repeat sales.
