I have a 460 with a bad fuel pump. It also has an aftermarket holly carb. The pump that’s on it now is not stock, do I need a bigger pump for the holly carb or would the factory pump work fine?
Factory pump will work.
Holley carbs were factory on some motors.
Unless you are racing a highly built up motor that is running at WOT for miles would you need a higher out put pump.

Can you elaborate what "not stock means"? It's an electric? No mechanical ? aftermarket mechanical pump?
the mechanical is plenty enough pump for a stock 460.

Heads up, I just went through this. I have a 75 with a 460, and the stock fuel pumps have a permanently attached filter with them. I had pulled off my old pump, ordered ones from o reiliey for my truck, and LMC. Both of those looked exactly like my original one, but the attached filters were not as offset as it needed to be and kept hitting the oil pan where it attaches to the block, so it would not make the seal.
