Searching this site and others, I found than many owners of older trucks would like to convert their rear hinges to open 180* like the newer trucks.
I would like to do the opposite because the door would hit the slide-in camper if allowed to swing past 90*.
Looking at the hinge, there is an upward facing bolt that appears to do nothing, and holes in the door side of the hinge that also appear to do nothing.
Does Ford or the aftermarket make a device to fit these to limit the travel? Ideally, the gizmo would have two positions, or be removable. Pass side
Still, my searching is not coming up with the solution. It looks like it would be pretty easy to fabri-cobble a part, but a factory part might be more elegant, maybe not.
Any help with a part number? Or maybe just a picture?

Black plastic wire clipped to rod. Keeps wire from being too loose if i remember correctly.
I still have the factory info from when I got the work truck. See pics for info. Colors apply to my truck.
To install, open door wide, remove factory white screws first. Start silver screw into top/bottom black plates that come in kit, tighten them snug, then loosen just a bit. Carefully shut door to 90 degrees and swing plates over area where factory bolt was. Put in factory white bolt and tighten all bolts. Repeat on other side.
They also have you attach the wiring cable to the upright rod. That one is unpleasant. Clip it onto rod and turn it by hand until it engages the indent in rod. Took me 5-10 minutes the first time. After that it's pretty easy.
If I have anything in the wrong order, I apologize. It's been five years since I did this. Directions and part numbers. Top bracket with one screw from door and one from kit. Bottom bracket.
Solved! Thank you very much Bug2022!
Sometimes the hardest part of a search is finding out what a part is called. I didn't it would be called a "lockout kit".
Sure wish it was removable without tools for the times when the camper isn't mounted. I'll revisit this thread if I come up with a modification of the factory design.
Thanks again.
Sorry to dig up an old thread. But what year are y’all’s trucks? And was it a cab and chassis model? Our 2022 f350 just had a hay bed installed and the doors hit the bed. But our hinge looks different than y’all’s. Ours was a pickup model not a C&C
That’s what I was worried about. There’s not any bolts on the hinge for a p/u model. Why they’re different I have no clue. Going to need to figure out a work around. Can’t have the door getting caved in on the corner of the bed.

Post a picture of it if you can. Mine was cab and chassis but I would be surprised if they are different.
looks like it should work. Says 2020+ model year.

My pickup has the bolts on the hinge. Exact same as the pictures posted above.
