my posi traction mod.
i got tired of my 4.0 van just spinning on wet roads while trying to take off from stop lights so i bought this.No-Slip Traction System - PowerTrax .it installs inside the pinion carrier after removing the side and pinion gears and bearings.somehow this thing lets one wheel slip a half a turn then locks up.so turning is drama free.some times while pulling away while turning it feels like something is slipping for about a second and then total traction.it now just goes in the rain as on dry pavement.almost no slipping.only tool needed to install it is a 5/16 wrench other than removing the cover.i waited a couple of months before posting this to be sure i liked it.btw the 8.8 aerostar rear uses the outer seals for a 7.5.

This is a locker type differential, which may be a little abrupt for street use especially in the rain. This model may have less aggressive springs and gear ramps to give less harsh engagement, so it's good that it's working well for you.
But it's not a Posi-Traction, which is GM's trade name for their clutch type limited slip differential.
