I have the NOCO GB150. It’s rated for up to 7L diesel engines and 9L gasoline engines. They also have a GB155 for up to 8L Diesel engines and 10L gasoline engines. I have read and watched a lot of great reviews on these jump packs, which is why I went with it. I haven’t had to use it on my truck, but feel confident in it based on others feedback.
Some pros are that it’s smaller and lighter weight than other battery chemistry types which makes it easier to store and more manageable to use. There are other features to like lights and usb plugs on it too.
Some cons are that it’s somewhat expensive, and that the battery can’t be swapped out as easy as with other jump packs, which would require you to just replace the entire unit.
The NOCO seems to get good reviews every time this topic comes up.
I use a Clore JNC660 fairly regularly for trailer dumping and winching and for popping off diesel equipment in below freezing temps. It charges with any extension cord and I am always pleasantly surprised at how much power it has even after multiple uses without recharging.
This is one of those items to not go cheap/economical on IMHO. When you need it you NEED it. I carry the NOCO GBX155. I wanted the most juice for a cold start of my 6.7, and hey….Ya ever know when you need to help out a semi driver LOL.
