I know a lot of you are great with repairing your xs by yourself, I took my 2000 ex v10 RWD to a auto shop today for a full inspection to see what I need to change or fix before I start pulling a around 9,500 camper fully loaded, they put it up on the lift and as soon as the tec went under they brought the lift back down, seems that the tower spring wall is shearing off and fanning out and were worried about it breaking on the lift, anyone know how I can fix this and how much of my arm or leg its gonna cost?
what are you talking about, the spring bucket maybe, rusted out, come on dude, less word salad more specific details and preferably pictures of what you are trying to tell us about, you have told us almost nothing, and are asking us what nothing will cost.

Welcome to the EX forum!
Sorry to hear that you have encountered some trouble with your EX, if you can share some pictures of the problem area that would allow us here to offer some advice on the best repair options. Try to get a few pics of the problem area from different angles and with the best lighting that you can get. Is see that you are in the rust belt, so if the EX has spent most of its life there too then that might help explain some of the issues you are faced with.
Looking forward to the pics!
Did the shop doing the inspection not give you an estimate? I am not overly familiar with the 2wd units but I think it looks like the shock tower is just riveted to the frame. Torch the rivets out, and bolt in a new one. It probably is the kind of thing that you will need to source from a junkyard unless you can happen to source a NOS one somewhere. There are some guys on here that are great at finding the ford part numbers.
Sorry about the non specifics, here is what the shop took pictures of than depending on the weather I'll try and put it up and take pictures at diffrent angles after work today. And does anyone know what that drain plug is, the ex is newer to me and dont know all the problem areas just yet. Main one that im concerned about

and thank you for the welcome, just joined but I have been coming here since I got the ex to see what I can do with the ex, all helpful info.
That 2nd to last picture there looks a bit troubling, but the pictures are kinda crappy quality, is that rust decay or just surface rust, it looks like it buckled....
Please give us some more pictures focusing around the coil spring all around it, especially at the top.

I'll be able to after work but I agree the shop did not take the best pictures, but I'm assuming rust decay, I already had to do a patch on the back of the body where rust ate through and rust ate the rockers and the mounts where the running boards were held
Sorta hard to tell from the pics. But there are some fabbed buckets for 05+ trucks. Dont know if they will work on the 2wd. I’d plan on brakes / brake lines and a front end rebuild also.

do you know if this is going to be the same kind on the f250 frames since it's based off of there frame, if so soon I'm going to be changing it out myself since no body shop or dealership wants to touch it, know where I can find some recorsces how I can do it myself cuz I'm irritated at this point
