Intro from BC Canada
I'm happy to have access to a site that has already provided advice on my latest project, a '66 F100. The truck has a Crown Vic front clip, and I've installed a triangulated 4 link at the rear, using the original Dana 60 posi diff. The truck has a built '69 429, which now has a 460 crank, with a C6.
I'm at the point of selecting the tires/wheels I'll need. The Dana has the original 5x5.5 axles in back, which have spacers to adapt 5x4.5 wheels. Four crown vic police wheels are on the truck now. I thought of using later mustang 17" wheels, since there are lots of them on Kiji, etc. Has anyone tried this? I'm debating widening the wheel wells, since my 4 link leaves a lot more room - right up to the frame. Deeper dish wheels would also look better.
Any info welcome!
And BTW, if you decide to widen the tubs, the first gen Bronco ones are reproduced, and have been used for this purpose before

Cheers!
James
Thanks for the wheel tub info, good to hear that Bronco ones will work. I think I'll go ahead now and widen them now, while I still have some enthusiasm.....
