5.4 l 2V Interchange
I have a 2000 F150 with a 5.4l, 4X4, automatic transmission, with 345,000 miles. I also have a 2004 F250 SD with 5.4l, 2 WD, automatic transmission, with 145,000 miles, but considerable body damage. Can someone tell me if the engine from the 04 will fit in the 2000. They are both 2V, and the 8th number of the VIN is L on both trucks. I know i have swapped a few parts out, and it looks as if most are the same.

You sound like you are on the right track. I’m betting the intake is going to have to swap. I doubt the Super Duty wiring harness matches the F150.
Push comes to shove, the bare long block would swap. It’s the surrounding accessories that may make for some work.
