Have always been happy with the leather, which is pretty much pleather. At least it’s pleather in the Lariat. Not sure about the King Ranch & Platinum.

I have black leather in all my vehicles, two of them convertibles. I'd not ever go back to cloth in my life. I also live in the desert where it's in the 100s during the summer, but it's also in the mountains so it gets down to zero in the winter.
Always leather.
Always black.

I specifically did not want leather, and for this reason, the XLT was as high of a trim I wanted to look at. I have had cloth seats in all of my previous vehicles and they have been fine. My wife's Pathfinder Platinum had black "premium" leather and I wasn't a fan at all... the hot and cold issues are a thing that I didn't prefer to deal with. Even with the heated and cooled options, which helped, it still wasn't near as convenient as good ole cloth, which I just never have to think about because I never get in and burn or freeze my legs. Also, with the vented leather options, over time, those little perforations would collect dirt and debris, which requires a little scrubbing and essentially makes it no different from cleaning cloth IME. Of course, if liquid is spilled, leather is a better option, but that's not really a problem for me. All I can say is that I was happy the leather was in her vehicle and not mine. We ended up trading it in when we got the Super Duty and will be ordering her a Bronco soon, but she even said that she would rather have cloth in it instead of leather after having it in her Pathfinder. It wasn't that she didn't like it, but she didn't like it enough to spend the extra money for it...

When i built my XLT, I wish there was an option to just add leather instead of going to a Lariat. I built my same truck but as a Lariat and it was almost 10k more.

Thinking about a leather kit

Anyone regret going with leather for any reason??? Too hot in the summer as opposed to fabric??

my dad bought a wrecked interior off eBay and installed it in his Xlt and installed lariat rims and tires from an auto auction and loved it. Said he should have done it years ago. Told him to just buy a lariat that already had it all, told me they were to expensive….
