OK so I have a 2009 Ford Explorer XLT n my blend door actuator went out and I got another one and put it in but when I watch the video on YouTube because I had to watch a bunch of videos to get this figured out there’s a hose it’s white and it looks like one of those straws that you get from like a hospital cup the big cups with the tops on it it’s got those big long straws in it they have like ridges all the way down and it looks like that but it’s bigger and it’s white anyways I saw it on the video I watched and I don’t have one … I’m guessing whoever owned it before me took it off or something but there not one on there now and I can see where it is supposed to go and when I cut the unit on there’s mega air flowing out of the opening…. so can somebody please tell me where I can get that hose at and also about the lights on my dash like I can see the left side which is what the rpm’s right but like where my speedometer is at I can’t bc the light is out I got the cluster out but I’ve asked a few parts houses bout the lights but they don’t have them and the lights out on the heating and air controls also so I need to know bout them too can someone please tell me where I can find them car lights because the ones in that cluster are not at Auto Zone or a Advance auto parts…
I put a screen shot of the hose off the YouTube video I watched to show what I need that hose is right by the blend door actuator
ok so it’s on the driver side next to the air conditioner and middle console at the bottom about the same area as the blend door actuator n where the hose os supposed to be at is blowing out air so I’m thinking it’s for my ac n heat unit
idk bc I am not real Familiar with everything on face and vehicles but I’m trying idk how else to explain it to u I’m sry I just have been working on tying to get my heat to work
Mechanic work is hard work

Does that hose go to the blower motor? It looks like it might., but I can't see enough around it in the picture. If it is, those occasionally blow off over time.
The folks that know about this sort of thing don't often frequent the "New Member Introductions" forum. You'll probably get some good answers going over in the "Explorer, Sport Trac, Mountaineer & Aviator" forum in the "Small Chassis Trucks" section on the main forums page.

I’m not exactly sure where that hose went….while watching the video on how to fix my blend door actuator I noticed they had a hose and I didn’t…the pic I posted with my post was the video I was watching…. In my Explorer on the driver side the air feels like warm and the passenger side is cold so… lol being the Mechanic that I am I thought maybe that hose had something to do with the drivers side air being like warm
but if it blows off in time I ain’t worried bout it I reckon lol but thanks a lot to
I believe you are referencing the aspirator tube/hose for the ATC
Conventional heater systems just have a tube to the back of the blower motor case to the hvac plenum
That takes air and forces it past the thermal limiter in the resistor bock
On EATC applications it is a bit more complicated but the aspirator tube does the same thing (cools down the electronic resistor block)
So disregard the tube while getting your heat back and make sure the tube gets put back in place when you are done because the electronic resistors are expensive
I think you just need a blend door actuator (that is a 1500 dollar just) if you get hosed
Not easy to replace and there are ford bulletins to replace the whole HVAC case for warping and sticking blend doors
Repeat repairs concerns with a warped case (this will break the new blend door actuator)
Only had to replace one case so far myself
When you get the actuator off just make sure the door moves freely
There are hot knife zipper repairs for the case using a dorman door and pin kit
I would not go that route if it was mine
