Gauge pids

I have a 2000L and I'd like to add a 2 or 3 A-pillar gauge pod. I read that the Lotek pod is the way to go.

What gauges should I add/replace?

How are the gauges hooked up? Do I just disconnect the instrument panel ones?

Any Gagues recommendations?

Thanks,
Ron

If I were you, I'd add a voltmeter, oil pressure gauge, and trans temperature gauge. Just leave your existing gauges alone. You might think the oil pressure gauge is redundant, but the factory gauge is actually a "go/ no go", rather than a true gauge (you will notice that it never fluctuates).

I like VDO gauges, primarily because they have green illumination of white letters on a black face with a red pointer. That means they closely match my factory gauges, but I think your lightning's are different.

Just follow the instructions that come with the gauges. The voltmeter is easy. The gauges are only difficult in that you need to put a sensor (like a small pipe plug with a wire attached) into the fluids invoved. If that scares you, you probably should consider having it done.

I used the Auto Meter gages which are white face. I put them in the pod on the "A" piller and it really looks nice.
The problems I had were finding a 12 VDC wire that was off without the key and on when the engine was running.
My research has found that the old sensors are needed for the computer. So I installed a "T" (local hardware fittings) and run both sensors.
