Howdy y'all! Our 2000 V10 excursion, Appa, is abot to hit 300k miles. I'm planning on doing a full fluid change (radiator, brake, power steering, oil, transmission, and diff.), spark plug, boots, and coils, pcv valve, air filter, front and rear rotors, and fuel filter change as well. I still need to get the ball join replaced on the passenger front side, but am getting mixed messages as to whether it's a single part to do, or to replace the whole control arm as well. Also changing the oil pan gasket, hoping that'll stop the minor leak I'm having.
Currently owned: PCV valve (standard motor products V341), oil pan gasket (DNJ PG4185)
About to order: Spark plugs (motorcraft SP-479, as the stock AWS-22E aren't made anymore apparently), rotors (CRK14613 for front, CRK15244 for rear, from callahan brake parts on amazon)
Need to get: boots and coils, air filter, fuel filter, windshield wiper pump(?)
If y'all could make sure these are all the correct parts, I've done my research off this forum and the internet as best I could. Also, if y'all know of any bushings/mounts/etc. that I should be looking out for at this high mileage, I'd greatly appreciate it. I do know my wife says it rides a bit rough on unpaved roads, but better when we're hauling our farm trailer.
yup, white with brown pinstriping. Wife came up with the name, and it stuck. Helps that when I start it, due to the "custom exhaust" (a dummy catalytic converter and whatever muffler a guy put on it after the old one fell off) it veritably roars!
