I’m installing disc brakes on a date of 44 bronco front axle. I’m using 79 five stud knuckles from an extended cab F250 with five lug wheels.
i’ve got everything hooked up I can’t seem to get the caliper amount. it’s making contact with the back of the knuckle. 7677 bronco disc brake knuckle seems to have a lot of clearance in that area compared to mine. Anyone run into this issue before? Wondering if there’s enough meat clearance those knuckles with a grinder?
I do not think the steering knuckle is the issue, I think it is a difference in the caliper bracket. Which vehicle caliper bracket are you using? There is a difference in the bracket between a F100/F150 single piston brake caliper and a F250 dual piston caliper bracket. AFAIK
