1989 bronco value?

Ive got a friend who recently picked up a 89 bronco. Rust in the tailgate and surface rust on the roof. 351 auto. were just wondering what the broncos are going for these days and if its worth putting some money into.

Yes. The prices for even parts trucks have shot up since the 2021 models came out.

I've been actively looking for one in Canada. The prices of them have gone through the roof here, if you can find one. I've looked at 3 so far over the past year.. They were all parts machines at this point, but they still wanted a couple thousand for them... Even projects are asking $5-10k - salvageable, but I do mean projects.

I was looking into a 1996 xlt 302 auto. 185k miles. bad engine - not running, rough all over but not rusting out - tail gate looked good, good glass, interior shot, painted all flat black (who knows whats underneath it) - everything, trim, bumpers, you name it. 6 inch lift, Very tired project truck - $5K.

1980-1996 nice ones are going for $30k plus here now.
1966-1979, prices range widely from low $20k's up to $100k.

All Cdn $$

Thank you Tinter, appreciate the offer. I’ve been hoping for a 92-96 OBS, but BC is just a bit too far away for me right now. I bought a new daily driver / for the trails this week, the bronco project idea will just be if one lands in my lap for now.

Whatever the value (condition miles etc)
Wait one year and add 1000 dollars
Those old ones are now going UP in value

Actually its been in storage for six years and its costing me more than that to store it so it coming out of storage and going up for sale.

Has so much custom work on it and was never done to sell as the plan was to keep it but injury has made me unable to do most auto anything now.

Its been awhile and ive forgotten a lot but so far gas tank empty and fresh gas put in and oil filter change done
has a new battery ...

I could use some advice as to what all i should do before i turn her over after sitting in underground garage for six years

plugs and wires cap and rotor all fairly new when parked and i used fuel stabilizer.

I am limited as to what i can do and dont want to do more then i have to but want to be nice to motor as she has under 80,000km on her

can i get input as to what all i should be looking at before i turn engine over

thanks for any and all help

Six years is a long time on fuel even with Stabil
Like to see you drain the tank and put some new gas in it
Otherwise just check the oil and give er hell
