Front bumper compatibility between years?

Does anyone know for sure if a stock front bumper from a 2020+ will fit a 2017 Super Duty? I know through MY 2019 is the same but there were some changes in 2020.

Hit a small deer a while back that buggered up the lower part and would like to replace it with a take off.

Thanks.

See this thread linked below, supposedly a 2020 has been put on an earlier model.
I’m waiting on my father in law to decide if he’s going to buy a 2020 we found for $200 and put it on his 17, he’s got a deer dent too. If he buys it and we put it on, I’ll let you know how it goes.

I have the front bumper about to be paint matched and will be putting it on my ‘17 here soon. I will check back. Supposedly you just use your old bumper mounting brackets on the new bumper

Well, the grill and headlights changed in 2020, so while the frame is basically the same and the bumper should be able to bolt on, it may not match the line of the bottom of the grill and headlights.
Maybe...

This is a 17 truck still with the 17 bumper on it with the 20-22 headlights and grille. Like I said I’m having my rear bumper & new 20+ front bumper being stripped and painted currently.

looks great as is. even just paint matching the 17 bumper would work fine if you wanted to save a few bucks. did you buy the lights and grille new? i've been checking junkyards websites for 2020 front ends, id love to do the update as well.

i bought everything off eBay. I can’t get he headlights to work yet. I’m having some issues. Trying to get somebody to help with forScan. You can’t tell in the picture but there’s a big gap between the bottom of the grille and the bumper. I plan on doing a full write up on the conversion. I took pictures of it all all the way through. It isint a direct fit for the headlights and grille.

Update:

Picked up a take off from a 2021 Lariat for cheap. Looked like it would fit after looking at it. It bolted right up. There might be 1/2" more gap between the top of the bumper and the bottom of the grill but it looks fine to me. The bumper came with fog lights which my XLT did not have. However, the plug-in on the truck side is right there so now to figure out if there is an easy way to make them work.

did you use all the 2021 bumper brackets? Or did you swap the old brackets onto the new bumper?

Yes. I used nothing from the original 2017 bumper.

2017-2022 Front bumper compatability

I have a 2017 F350 with front/rear bumper damage and I found a set (painted) from a 2022 super duty. Are the brackets the same and will the 2022 fit my 2017? I see that there has been a 2020 put on a 2017 but not sure if 2022 will bolt on. I'm not worried about a minor difference in space between bumper and front grill. Any insight is greatly appreciated. My mounting brackets are damaged as well.
Thanks MMFM

What is the size and make of your tires? I like that stance. Thanks.

Hmm, I wouldn't mind a 22 bumper on m F-450 with the new fog light style. I wonder how much of a difference there is and if the bumper from an F-350 is the same. There are extensions on the F-450, but without taking it apart, I don't know what is involved.
