custom interior

http://www.cstrikesucks.homestead.com/basic.html

what do ya guys think?

The stock was a vinyl bench seat.

The sub box was made out of a $100 sheet of 3/4" premium grade birch veneer plywood. The trim pieces are made of the same stuff. I stained the wood MinWax dark mahogany red.

The glass was cut by Apex Glass (Sandy Hook, CT) and is 1/4" thick, gray tint.

Its a sealed (and i mean sealed) enclosure.

The sub is an alpine Type-S 10" DVC. Its pushed by a JBL BP.150.1 amp, with an alpine cd player.

The bucket seats i got on ebay. I believe they came from a chysler concord or similiar, but the guy didn't know what kind of car they came out of. I welded up some brackets, then welded them to the floor pan, and bolted and welded the seats the to brackets/floor.

I also have a U.S. flag as my headliner

Next in line:

white LEDs or tubes to illuminate floor pan
dynomat on the cieling, rear of cab, and floor

Not to bad! THose seats fit it pretty good!
you must not have a girlfriend, or are married. Thats what I like about my truck is that the 'ol lady can sit next to me. But there are hair ties in your shifter, so Im guessing maybe your like the rest of us on here...you just like your truck!! the girls can ride in it, but dont mess with us as we drive! Good Job!

holy ****. i never though i would hear of another person trying this let alone actually have done it. ive been plotting for the last 3 weeks maybe lining up mustang seats n a sub box and stuff to build something i designed almost exactly the same as wut u built. this is such a relief that now i hae sumthin to look at . question. if u dun mind measuring wutr the dimensions of ur box.

The console is 14" wide, 16" tall and about 31" long i think. The sub box is (i believe) 14" wide 16" tall 18" long. the sealed enclosure tho is about 6" deep.

throw all the questions you want at me!

maztang- they're rubber bands!

i know where you're goin with the girlfriend thing... but i do have a bed cover and an air matress fits well between the wheel wells.....

I'm of course talking about softening the ride for some sheets of sheetrock.....

as a 17 year old, i aint hitched!

Its nice to have only two seats. I had the bench seat, and its a manual tranny, so whoever rode b**** got second and fourth gear to the crotch. (yeah yeah maztang...) It's nice that a third person is not an option any more.

i went for the old school look. i think it compliments the truck well

Oh. did u use a single sub box then build around it or did u build everything custom for the truck. cause i have a dual sub box that is sealed in the middle and i think im just gonna seperate it and start off with the single sub box and build off of it to save time.

Rhetor;

Good job there. I'd a done one thing different to enhance the look of the box. Coutersink the screw holes and then fill the holes with plugs matching the grain. Then sand, stain, and seal. Now yer clothes won't catch on the screw heads.

i would have plugged the holes, but the top needs to be removable, and also i like the look of the rugged dark stained box with the screw holes. Adds to the oldschool look

I built the box/console all in one hit. I designed the hole deal as one unit then cut, glued n screwed!

Wow, functional cupholders in a ford truck...

Looks good, it adds a nice personal touch to your ride. I've been eyeing bucket seats for my truck for a while now, and yours look pretty sweet. Excellent job!
