Engine Type

I was wonderin if anyone could tell me the size engine a 1979 ford ranchero has. the vin # is 9H47H163225. Thanks alot for your help, i'll be lookin to see what it is!

I think one of the H's in the VIN # designates the engine as a 351M.

The fifth character is a engine code.

H = 351M

where would the 351 dip stike be mine is in the front of the block i was told it was a 429
