Curious to know if anyone in this forum has installed the Rousch active exhaust . I do understand it is expensive and love the idea the of being able to cut the sound down . I watched the video of installing the wiring /muffler .Being a Rouch product curious to how long this system will last .thoughts -ThanksTR
I’m always skeptical of that kinda of technology. Sounds good in theory but long term I’m not confident it will last the life of the exhaust. I’m going to stick with the Corsa Sport when I can save up the dough for it. With that and a Roush CAI it will be loud enough and from what I have read there is hardly any drone in the cabin.
Which one would you suggest? It’s hard to believe the Borla ATAK has zero drone. Dont know about the original post, but I tow a good bit, would suck to have to listen to it in the cab for 6-8 hours.
Yes, I tow some ,bass boat ,open trailers etc , so the thought of turning the sound down is appealing .I know the Rousch active has moving parts and concerned the solenoid or what ever controls the flap will last . The older I get quiet is good. But then at times you can’t beat a great sounding muffler .My 92 Bronco has the flow masters while my 85 uses manga flow .Both aren’t radical as I am no spring chicken either (60 plus).TR

A ‘92 Bronco....back when they were Broncos and not these city slicker versions on the road now.

I have the Borla S-Type which is sound tuned between the Touring and the Attack systems.
As far as I know none of them have any drone. Mine certainly doesn't.

That is the system I want to purchase for mine.Just a little louder than stock. I would actually prefer a true dual exhaust.

It is a true dual exhaust just has a longer crossover pipe. Seriously though, it's the best you can get with a computer controlled system, You want twin pipes all the way from the headers, you need to go back a few decades, toss on a blower and you might get close to the horsepower of todays systems.
The Borla S type looks good on these trucks, and having zero drone is a plus ,5 star rated with over 100 reviews (American trucks)also has a behind the wheel set up .TR
