I know you said no discussion, but at this point, Fox is leading the pack. I'm kind of surprised because there is a lot of discussion about the Bilsteins... For those that are getting Fox, are you getting them off the shelf, or are you getting them "tuned" before installing them? I see that you can get the Fox 2.0's with a custom tune from Carli, but it's for 3.5" lifts... For the price of Fox 2.0's period, the custom tuned ones aren't that much more expensive. I was wondering about calling Carli and asking about getting some with a custom tune for stock trucks... or at least stock with the snow plow prep, which has a slight "lift" on the front end...

Over the years of posts and threads FOX has been one of the favorites, although it does seem that there are quite a few Bilstein threads lately and because of the lower price point, I would expect more to be using them. Those FOX shocks that Carli developed a tune for, either from FOX facilitating that, or done in house, are probably done in batches. I would expect them to possibly charge even more for a one off tune, if they would do it all. Accutune is another source for tuned FOX shocks, but it looks like they stick with the reservoir type. Might try calling them too. I would question if the difference between a custom tune, and that of off the shelf 2.0's would even be noticeable by most drivers. The standard, off the shelf 2.0's sometimes sell for as low as $269/pair.

Thanks! Good point about there being more Bilstein threads due to costs... I saw where a set of Bilsteins are around $370, but easily $500 - $600 for Fox shocks, and was definitely something that was making me lean towards the Bilsteins.... I have no plans to replace my shocks right now... spent too much already so need to wait a little while unless they need to be replaced. I figure sometime next year I will look to swap the shocks though... just not sure what I will go with at this point... but I still got time!
Turns out is is good to have a bit of discussion. I started this thread mostly because I am trying to decide which shock to use. My Ranchos are worn. I'm waiting on a new truck (ordered in Oct) but still am making plans.
For now it looks like Bilstein is in the lead by a lot.
oh - not sure if Koni even make a shock for the F-350. I put it in because I thought I saw someone who had installed some. Maybe I confused it with a steering stabilizer.
Fox performance series internals. Having had many foxes/kings opened up, this valve stack is not off the shelf, so they've been definitely tuned by fox...
Rebuilds are super simple, its just orings and one nut. The hardest part is recharging, but you can honestly use dry air (or any pressurized source that'll get you to 200 psi). You can buy a bike pump that'll do it, since all the bikes out there with pressurized shocks use air to recharge them...
I read your request for no discussion and thought... "this is the internet; everything leads to a discussion!" lol
To that end, my RS9000s bushings are shot. I have a box of Fox 2.0s in my garage to install on my 17 250. It will be nice to not have to crawl under and change the settings before/after each trip. Not sure if it helped or not since I never noticed a change.

If you were using this to decide which shock to get based on popularity, i think you may have overlooked some things. You listed Rancho, Bilstein and Fox as single entities. You have Bilstein 4600s and 5100s, Rancho 5000, 7000 and 9000, Fox 2.0, 2.5, remote resi options and the non-rebuildable adventure series.
I didn't see any votes for the Tremor Front Shock Absorbers ASH866147. They have a hydraulic bump stop built in for bottom 2" of travel and the springs from the Tremor level the front 0.75". It is like position sensitive damping. Really improves ride going thru dips and over speed bumps eliminating bottoming out on 2020+ Super Dutys. Tremor Shock Ford Parts Tremor Shock
I agree with you about Tremor shocks. I own a '22 Tremor and because a lot of Tremor guys were immediately removing their Tremor shocks to install boutique shocks I thought since I had some almost new Bilstiens off of my 2018 Superduty I'd see if the boutiques were actually better.....they are not. I reinstalled my Tremor shocks as they do ride better and feel more in control.
There should be a lot of almost new Tremor shocks for sale!
