One of my work buddies has purchased stripped-out 60's-ers "camper van" - basically a flat-nosed van with a big fiberglass cap (found it on-line).
He is trying to figure out how to get it from Montana to south NJ... and running into a lot of "questionable" shippers....
Does anyone have suggestions for open carriers with a reasonable cost? Thanks in advance.
I think you need a mover with a pickup plus single level gooseneck. Don’t bother with online quote services. Call movers directly with that unique situation.
I don't know if this will help or not but I have to move my 85 van and did a little research into the cheapest way to move it just 70 miles. What I originally came up with was to rent a car hauler trailer and a Uhaul truck to pull it with.. The car hauler trailer from U-haul would not work for my van a the wheelbase was too long. I found a company that rented a trailer that would work. But the oloder vans had a shorter wheel base i do believe so a Uhaul trailer might work and can be rented for a one way trip. If he doesn't have a truck heavy enough to safely pull the trailer/van then he could rent a u-haul truck that is..
