amp draw
i have a question about my trucks amp draw. the gage show it all the way to the right. the rest of my vehicles the gage is around center. i have a amp meter. what is my truck suposed to draw and were do i check it? 93 f150 4.9l

Factory amp guages are pretty junky, and really can't be relied on for any useful info. Put a voltmeter on the battery terminals with the truck running, and see what you get. Something around 12 volts, and you are not charging much. Something around 13.5 to 14.5 is ok. A reading around 16 volts it a little too high.

i checked it with my volt meter and i had 14.5 vdc. yesterday was realy cold in the morning about 18deg f my trucks battery light was flashing when it started upbut quit after a few secs the gage was swinging back and forth at that time
