Ford script flatbed letters size?

I've tried to search the forum but I'm not finding the answer for the lettering size of a ford script flatbed. I know a lot of you look for them and they are hard to find. I may have the answer to cloning the script flatbed if the lettering is the same size.
Apologies if this has been said before, I couldn't find a thread or mention here.
My dad and I have a 52 8n tractor and have acquired a few spare parts for it. I noticed the ford script embossed on the sides of the hood and it got me wondering if it's the same size that the flatbed would have. It would be very easy to add it to a new bed or a new part made for the bed and would look factory correct. If someone could get me a length and width dimension of one then I could measure mine and tell you for sure.
I may even be able to cut out and sell for a reasonable price a couple that I have if it would work and anyone is interested.

The Ford tractor script as used on the N series, NAA, and hundred series is slightly different than that of the Ford truck script. The Ford tractor script is very close to that of the truck bed. I did find some tractor script to be very close to the truck in size. I doubt if anyone but a real purist could tell the difference.

Interested in this. I have the Ford script from the side of a 47 and earlier hood. But I think it is smaller than the script on a factory bed.

I am either getting a bed built or buying a premade bed for my F350 and would like to somehow put the script on the bed.

Some 50s Ford tractors (1950 and newer?) had script stamped into the fenders. That should be good thick metal, although on a curved surface. Maybe a beat up tractor fender could donate a Ford script to your truck bed?

Even with the slight curve from a fender or the hood it could be flattened without damaging the lettering if you're careful. It would take some thinking. The fender would be thicker but either one would be very easy to weld into the back rail of a bed. Just like putting in a patch panel. I have two hoods that are rotted beyond repair I could cut the script out if anyone's interested. Message me for a price, I'm not sure I could post it here instead of the sale part of the forum.

Flat Bed Script

I am in the process of installing a script flatbed on my '53. The script is 2 3/8" high at the extremes of the "F" and 7 3/8" wide from the lower tail of the "F" to the final tail on the "d".

I do have questions about where to get bed strips and how the boards and strips attach to the bed frame. Anyone have any info to share?

You can get bed strips from Mar-K in any length.

Mar-K is the company I found. You can get them up to 107" long which will work on the short flatbed.

Here is the Ford script I cut out of a 47 and earlier truck hood. It measures 2¼" × 5½".

On an F1 tailgate, the script is about 3 3/4 tall by 8 3/4 wide, as seen here on my wall hanger tailgate. It's interesting how many different sizes of script there are out there.
