i was trying to drop the fifth wheel prep and spray in bed liner on my f350 drw, the dealer said he would look into it, but it may have been pulled already? its only been a couple weeks since i ordered it, and i haven't received a vin or anything but the thank you letter. not quite sure what the pulled means. i should be able to drop those up until the vin comes out, in fact i heard that some ford reps were telling people to drop them if you can.

Reason: quick change
The way the information was presented to me is Ford will pull the order and review it to make a decision if its going to be scheduled to be built. The build order may not be scheduled and returned to the pending que if all the parts are not available for the build.
If your order has been pulled, your dealer cant make changes.
so basically it could sit for 5 months waiting on the fifth wheel prep that i cant cancel? well hopefully it hasnt been pulled yet , i thought you could make small changes up until you are scheduled or get a vin? thanks.

My dealer said if the order is returned to the pending que you would be able to change things again. While its being considered for build its locked to that build order.
If you don’t have a vin yet, you can definitely still change your order. Sounds like your dealer just doesn’t want to deal with making the change. You can make a change all the way up until it’s sent to plant but I believe after it has a vin, your dealer has to go through regional rep for approval.

that's what I thought, he is the only dealer in the country that doesn't think there is a hold up on super dutys. I'll go in Monday and talk to him. I just found a place that has the oem fifthwheel prep kit , and a place that will install it. So if it will speed up my delivery, it's worth it.
