2015 3.5 Ecoboost longevity

Faced with a bit of a dilemma and a bit overwhelmed.
2015 Plat 3.5 Ecoboost Gen1
Bought new one owner
160k miles
Oil changes every 5k
Regular maintenance as needed.
New trans last year

Needs:
Cats - P0420/P0430 perm codes
Front seal - leaking no puddle yet though
Timing chains/Phasers/VCTs - overdue maintenance
Valve cover gasket - leaking onto manifold
Moonroof - overflows into overhead console
3 different shops all estimated repair cost ~$7000-$9000.

With the price of trucks in the current market trying to decide if should continue to invest in this one or bite the bullet and look at something newer.

I like the truck but am concerned about future $$$ repair costs due to the increased technology. However, trading in this market and paying full MSRP or more is hard to swallow.

If it were back in the day when could swap out the engine for a few $$ would be a no brainer.

Should we expect to get 200k or more out of these trucks?

What do you think, keep it or sell it?

Leave it downtown with the windows down and the keys in it.

Blow the drain tubes out on the moonroof. The other stuff is to be expected with those miles and the truck should have been prices accordingly due to it’s miles. Remember, a new one just like it is $75,000 US dollars.

The repair costs seem on the high side. Use aftermarket cats. The front seal is easy to take care of then the timing chain is done. The valve cover isn’t that big of a deal. Using high mileage oil may help recondition the seals to stop the leaks. Make sure you do the spark plugs too.

Now, if you get stupid high money for a trade offer, it’ll make buying a new one at MSRP less painful.
