Manual hubs

Got an 02 F350 7.3. Driverside is Warn manual hub, passenger side factory manual lockout. Driverside grings, like it's engaging, just not all the way. Took it apart, everything moves like it should. Tried spinning axle while locked, won't move, so it's somewhat grabbing. I'm perplexed.

I'd inspect the stub axle U-joint on that side.

Agreed with the above.

I would also consider making the hubs match - not a fan of having mismatched parts on the front axle.

Try swapping the hubs side to side and seeing if the noise follows the hub. Could be that your hub is failing.
