Just wondering.......
So, I've got an XLT that came with the 18" wheels.
I swapped on 20" platinum wheels.
Even though I went with the same stock tire size (275/65) The tires are about 2" taller and the truck sits a lot higher.
I diddnt realize that would happen.
I really liked the lower height of the truck when it had the 18s.
Do the higher trim levels come with lower suspension from the factory to account for the taller tires?
it seems like mine sits higher than other stock (lariat and up 20" wheel) trucks, or maybe it's just me?
I'm considering dropping down to 275/60/20s to get the height back down.

A 2 inch taller tire will make the truck sit 1 inch higher, so long as no other changes were made.
Is that "a lot higher"???

Yes, having to jump up another 1" doesn't sound like much but, in reality.....it is.
I was really digging how easy it was to get in and out of with the 18s.
That and the lower profile appearance just make the truck more comfortable.
Well, not sure how you could not know that a taller tire would make the truck sit higher.
I have a 2WD, it is lower than a 4WD by about 1.5 inches, and has the 18" wheels/tires, and I have a nice set of side steps I added.
Get yourself some side steps.
I could of swore the 18" wheels came with a 33" equivalent tire, and the 20" wheel a 34".....that would give closer to around 1/2" hieght difference. I would expect that to be imperceivable.
Edit- I see there are two 18" sizes, a 32" and a 33".
