2000 F150 weird electrical issue
I had posted earlier that when this truck was idling in the driveway the starter kept trying to engage. It no longer does this, but the running lights and taillights stay on and the lights on the instrument cluster and radio will come on and go off every few seconds, all without the key in the ignition. GEM and ignition switch has been replaced and most of the electrical harnesses pulled apart and dielectric grease applied before put back together. Have looked at most of the ground points and they look ok. Even took them off and sanded them before tightening back down. Not sure where to go from here.

well, I stand corrected. The battery runs down because the running lights and tail lights stay on and everything else turns off and on. I also found the blower will run as well. I put the battery charger on overnight and just cranked the truck, and lo and behold, the starter kept trying to engage.
