I installed the lower fuel filter conversion kit from H&S. I removed factory filter, installed the block off plate, routed hoses, installed bracket, and tightened fittings. I primed the fuel system per instructions provided .Cranked truck up and had a humming sound coming from under the hood..
I didn't have fuel to prefill the new cat filter with me but i thought the truck would purge it anyway by cycling the key 6 times for 30 seconds. drove it home then dropped filter, filled with fuel found that the filter was only a quarter to half way full.
thought that was the problem but after filling filter completely and re primed the system it still is making a humming sound from under the hood.I previously installed bmp's under hood filter that has been doing fine. does that sound like it's a problem or will it purge itself from driving? Thanks
this is the link to the instructions of the kit to familiarize https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/00...f?v=1637670334
You might get a good answer here but your first line of action should be to contact H & S and talk with someone in customer service as this is their area of expertise, and I'm pretty sure they'd be more than willing to try and help you diagnose this issue as you've spent good money on their product. There should be an 800 number in your instructions or paperwork for support.
